usually the shock absorbers are not the centre of the problem. The track bar is too short and is too steeply. You should arrange him into a flat angle.

Kayaba shoul still deliver shock absorbers for the Rekord C oder Commodore A. The Kayaba Gas-A-Just, for example, are very hard. But at all: Think, taht the body is four decades old. A too hard carriage would not be a really good idea.

No springs do really fit into a Commodore A. The Mercedes-Benz /8 or the W123 have the right diameter, but the wrong length. Youwould have t shorten them.
