How hard the springs should be, is dependent on the conditions of usage. A race adjustment often uses springs as hard as possible and shock absorbers as hard as neccessary. Maybe the "heavy duty springs" from the Caravan or the long versions (vogt taxi/cab-version) could help you with the "hangig back". But this option is only for the usual underbody. The GS-Models have different Springs. On my website cokebottle-design.de i have an overview of the springs for Rekord C and Commodore A ( [www.cokebottle-design.de] ). Maybe this helps you, to find a solution for your problem.
